Went searching the net and came across this:
GS-R pretty stock with bolt-ons..DC-4-2-1 header, DC DAC intake pipe
NGK plugs/wires
J. R. Supercharger Kit with NO water injection.
8 PSI.
This is the 4th Supercharger kit I have Dyno'd and they are ALL around
this same HP/Torque. No ECU codes, no indication of anything wrong, they
all baseline up around 200 and even after 5 mechanics tried to increase it
on
all the cases of this kit, the HP is nowhere near what that company claims.
When I called J. R. on the Phone, and asked them how to get their
"suppossed"
230 HP out of it...they said they never seen one below 222.
THen I proceeded to do 20 Dyno passes at every single FMU setting possible.
Nothing. After 4 cars and over 100 passes, I finally called them and asked
them what
their exact setting was for "their" GS-R motors they "supposedly" get 235
out of.
THey got all defensive, accused my shop of installing it wrong, even though
they THEMSELVES
installed 2 of the 4 kits!!...THEN the dude got MAD and would not tell me
any settings
and flat out hung up on me!
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND their kit was looking all professional and
everything
Until I got to the crank pulley the kit comes with....I put it on, turned on
the car,
JUST TO FIND OUT THERE IS NO DAMNED TIMING MARK ON IT....GREAT JOB
J.R.....thats the most freaking
important thing! SO I spend another hour pulling it back off, match it up
to the old
one and then mark it and put it back on....what a waste of time...
And about $3500 for this kit? You would expect more power.
And I told them I was doing a review of this kit and they didn't give a
crap! they STILL didn't want to help..
O well...now about 20,000 people a month is going to know the truth about
this company and product.
And another thing...I tuned a TYPE-R motor with 11-12 PSI kit from this
company and EVEN WITH 2 huge fans
blowing on it and a 10 lb bag of ice on the supercharger to keep it
cold...it did NOT hit 235.
BTW, we did not install that one either...
Guess who did? nevermind.
Do not buy this kit. .
Wait until the ENDYN supercharger kit comes out.
www.theoldone.com
Larry at Endyn's supercharger kit coming out soon is literally 100x superior
to this inferior product.
Investigate it and research it on his and my site.
I mean damn, even if the thing had bad tuning it should make at least 222
since that is what they say
is the least they ever saw...
Arrogance, Pride and just rudeness. They don't even care. Amazing.
Maybe it the owner calls me up and apologizes personally I will remove this
review and just say nothing. But hey way I was treated....they got lucky I
didn't write more.

Jackson, per a post on another board:
1. They use 100+ octane race gas on the dyno.
2. Their timing is greatly advanced over "spec".
Still, 235+ WHP (yes, WHEEL!) is BS.

About this dyno.
This car had a check engine light on. Found out that the O2 sensor lead was not fully connected.
This almost stock GSR had Type R cams as well.
They have pulled the cams and fixed the O2 sensor wire and if I remember correctly, Aldo from Atomic, said this car was now in the mid 220's.

Mr detail - That's kool that they final got the hp problem fixed. But I believe that still isn't where you would think it should be at 8spi........according to JRSC dyno figures @6psi.
Any way, my concern was more on the shitty customer service that a lot of people are getting with either JR, Moss, or both. I personally have had no problems. But over the past 3 months I have seen more complaints than normal. Almost all my friends(locally and on the net), are selling or have sold their kits. I seen JRSC kits (basicly brand new) going for $1800-2200 shipped. Shit, some even with gauges, fuel pump, etc. JR/Moss is now being thought of in the same manner as good ol'Bill Gude.
Oh well, only time will tell with my kit. Maybe its time for me to join TEAM DSM!!

The customer support issue bothers me as well. Especially since I talked to this guy. The first guy on the phone was very rude and cussing at me before he even stated what was going on. He told me about all these bad experiences and that this car wasn't making power.
He then turned the phone over to Aldo who was actually tuning the car. If you guys ever deal with Atomic, Aldo is smart and one hell of a nice guy. I asked who this guy was that was laying into me and he said 'pay no attention to him he is just our web guy'. I couldn't believe it. Now this post turns up by their web guy. Aldo and I worked through this problem in less than 15 minutes and determined the o2 problem and the cam problem.
Some people come across so negative that it is hard to settle down and try to work on the problem at hand, but I would like to think we all try.
As for the 222 dyno. All I can say is I am not the webmaster here or the old 208 dyno would be up there. With any luck it may be soon.
Everyone have a good new year.

Bigkat, don't go DSM unless you got money to burn. I've been there and done that and lemme tell you, my car seemed like it spent more time in the garage than on the road. Don't get me wrong, DSM's are fast and fun but there's no denying the fact that they're pieces of SH*T.
